Methodology
Source-verification methodology
One rule governs this registry: no record is displayed until it has been confirmed with its source. Everything below is the operational meaning of that sentence.
Intake
Records enter through pharmacy submission. Each submission carries the complete document, the lot it belongs to, the identity of the testing laboratory, and a named contact at the submitting pharmacy. Anonymous or screenshot-only submissions are not accepted into the verification queue.
Verification
- Issuer confirmation: we confirm with the submitting pharmacy that the document is theirs and corresponds to a lot they released.
- Laboratory confirmation: where the document names an external lab, we confirm with that lab that it issued the underlying report. Contact details are located independently, never taken from the submitted document.
- Coherence screen: the document is read field by field — lot present, methods named, values carrying units and acceptance ranges, dates in order — and screened against the red-flag patterns, including template reuse and synthetic-document indicators.
States
| State | Meaning | Displayed? |
|---|---|---|
| Submitted | Received, queued for verification | No |
| Source-verified | Confirmed with pharmacy and, where applicable, laboratory | Yes, when display is active |
| Held | Verification incomplete or failed; issuer notified | No |
| Disputed | A named party contests the record | No, pending re-verification |
Current status: display paused
Registry record display is paused while we re-review the provenance of previously collected documents against this standard. Records gathered before the standard was formalized — including any collected by automated scraping — are not displayed and will not be displayed unless they individually pass source verification. We consider an empty registry honest and a padded one harmful; display resumes when the review closes.
Disputes and corrections
Any laboratory or pharmacy can dispute a record bearing its name at [email protected]. Disputed records leave display immediately and return only after re-verification. This methodology is published to be criticized; if you see a gap, tell us.
The registry documents testing paperwork only. Verification of a record is not certification of a product, pharmacy, or provider, and nothing here is medical advice. Operated by PepKey; reviewed by Mike Paepke, PA-C.
